In case you hadn't noticed, ATC (and sister-site DCR) got Blazingly Fast recently. Over the course of the past couple of days, Eric The Webhost has moved both sites from his home DSL line to a stupidfast colo in California. A virtual server with a hideous amount of transfer. And speed. Lots of speed. The transfer has been largely seamless, and I'm currently hacking away on load-in of DCR.1, template cleanup and other under-the-hood things.
This is the first major transitional step between The Dualist and DCR.1 to Transitional Voices and DCR.2. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be working through the rest of cleanup and web prep, after which I'll be easing into modelling.
I've recently completed the second draft of the script for Transitional Voices Chapter One (working title "Earth"). It's a hell of a lot better than the original "Book Three" draft I wrote last year - a bit lighter in tone, and a lot more "accurate" in terms of addressing its subject matter. There's one bit that still reads too much like Exposition Masquerading As Dialogue that I need to pummel with a baby seal, but otherwise I'm happy with it. A third draft will shape up while I'm doing modelling, and then it's off to the races.
With any luck, new ATC in December. If things start to bog down, I have a plan for a short (4-8pp) comic that will fill the gap nicely.
And to the baker's dozen of you who've asked - online and off - over the past few weeks : No, I still haven't heard back from Comixpress.

Update, 2007.10.10 : 2007.3 is go. No graphical changes - just a hell of a lot of black hoodoo on MT templates, beating on things until It All Works, Mostly. ATC is now wired up for DCR and ATC.3, the comic index hangs together reasonably well for the time being, and all that's left on the immediate to-do list is fleshing out DCR's metadata.
Oh, and pages. Need those.
