20070723 - Scaled and slammed with a MASSIVE rewrite for contunuity and content. Previous edit here.

Edited 20050501 : Continuity edit - The Godsdamned Eye has been replaced with three panels to affect continuity with descent. Did some minor dialogue tweaks as well.
For the first time in the history of ATC, a Weapons Grade Whiskey Hangover has actually come in handy- I can't draw for shit at the moment- a fact that made "matching" the "style" of the injected artwork (the panel of west looking down) less of a challenge than I thought it would be. Vastly less handy when it came time to figure out the structure of the photoshop file, which was sometwhere between "bad" and "horribly brain damaged" in construction. It amuses me that my pages were set up in such a halfassed fashion back in the day- I just hope it doesn't rub off on me during the course of The Edit.
I figured the previous page would be the only edit for convergence, but I wanted that Godsdamned EYE gone, and the solution - when it hit me between drinks two and three last night - was too perfect and too easy not to run with.
Plus, this locks me into a longer scene for descent, which is fine by me.

Original text:
I've been refining the creation process- did layouts after I upped page 13 on Tuesday, then did the necessary inkwork and scanned the bristol yesterday... so today was straight photoshop. I took my time, which made for better results than would have occured if the thing had been a one-sitting production. So I'm getting the hang of the process, in any case. Still takes forever- and there's really no place to cut corners without the corner cutting being blazingly obvious.
In other news, while upgrading Safari after it bombed on me due to memory leaks (I'm assuming), flushing the thing and doing a full reset on the offchance the 500s (which just cleared up) would go away from ATC, I opened up ALL of my webcomic links at once to get them cached. Much to my surprise, Avalon is being updated again! w00t! This is a goodness- Josh Phillips is one of a miniscule number of webcomic artists that I've had a conversation of any length with through email: Avalon is one of my personal favorites and I'm glad to see it's running again. :-)
Also, Apologies to Bryan for the rude awakening. I truly appreciate the fix and I'll make it up to you at some point. Somehow. In a totally heterosexual fasion. O_o
